Eligibility

  • Lifetime Individual membership is open for professionals in academics, R&D centers, industries and Ph.D. researchers. The minimum educational qualification for AER membership is the master's degree in any branch of engineering and technology. To motivate and inspire researchers, based on the h-index of an individual four grades are formulated.
  • These grades are purely based on research achievements of the members and currently measured in terms of H Index of any one among Google Scholar, SCOPUS and Publons.
  • Additionally, the significant weightage is given to the innovation by member and each one granted patent will be well considered equivalent to additional H Index of one and the member will eligible for the grade accordingly.

Membership Grades

  • Associate Member: h-index up to 4
  • Senior Member: h-index 5 to 14
  • Fellow: h-index 15 to 24
  • Honorary Fellow: h-index 25 and more

Membership Fees

  • There is no membership fees for Association of Engineering Researchers.

Membership Application Processing Charges (APC)

  • Association of Engineering Researchers is currently not receiving funding from any agencies and all types of lifetime memberships are offered freely.
  • The number of administrative activities and manpower is involved to run various activities of the association. It needs a considerable cost.
  • Hence, nominal one time non refundable membership APC apply to members at the time of joining to cover these costs.
  • To accommodate all classes with strong members of researchers across the various corners of the globe, the APC structure is formulated based on the economy of the country and research achievements of the members.
  • For Associate Members and Senior Members, APC** of £ 100, £ 75, £ 50 and £ 25 is applied for Class A, B, C, and D countries respectively. Know more about countries classes
  • Currently there are no APC applied to Fellow and Honorary Fellow for the applications submitted before 25 February 2022.

Membership Application

  • Please Download and send completed application to member@engineeringresearchers.com.

Group Membership Processing

  • Group membership application processing fees will be reduced by 50 %, 60 %, 70 % and 80 % in case of group size of 5, 10, 15 and 20 respectively before 25 February 2022.

Grade Elevation

  • The member need to communicate the office in the prescribed format for Grade Elevation, when eligible for the next grade of membership as a result of increase in H index.
  • There will no processing charges for Grade Elevation.

Election and Voting

  • All members will be eligible for the election and voting the National Board of Directors.
  • The weightage for votes will be 1, 2, 3 and 4 for Associate Member, Senior Member, Fellow and Honorary Fellow respectively.

Validity and Renewal

  • All individual memberships are lifetime.
  • However, it’s renewal is required after every 10 years in order to keep it active. There will no renewal fee.

Transfer and Cancelation

  • The membership of AER is not transferable to any other person.
  • The membership may be canceled by the AER at any stage in case of any wrong information provided by any member in the application or in case of any unethical act as a member.
  • The member can write a simple email to cancel the membership with name and membership ID. The process will be completed within one month.
